Real Madrid star Toni Kroos mocked Saudi Arabia fans on social media.

Toni Kroos of Real Madrid criticised Saudi football supporters in a tweet following his team’s Spanish Super Cup semi-final triumph over Atletico Madrid.

The German delivered a customary midfield masterclass against Los Blancos’ crosstown rivals, but he was jeered throughout his participation in the 5-3 extra-time victory.

“Today was a lot of fun!” In response to the cold reception, Kroos tweeted late Wednesday night, “Amazing crowd,” adding a sarcastic emoji with love heart eyes.

On the pitch, the 34-year-old model professional was just as cold-hearted, absolutely unmoved by the ruckus and entirely shutting it out to deliver a passing accuracy of 95%.

Carlo Ancelotti, Kroos’ head coach, declared after the game that he didn’t “understand” why Kroos was booed.

“I don’t think Kroos understood it either,” remarked the Italian.

However, neither man should be surprised given previous remarks made by the outspoken number 8, who routinely speaks his view on current events in a famous podcast with his brother.

Kroos stated that the decision of numerous European-based players, including former Real Madrid teammates Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, to travel to the Saudi Pro League for hefty pay packets was “against football” last summer.

“It’s been said that they play ambitious football there, but it’s all about money. In the end, it’s a decision for money and against football,” Kroos scoffed.

“The lack of human rights, it would prevent me from going,” he added.

Given his late age, Kroos is unlikely to represent his country in the 2034 World Cup, which, like the Spanish Super Cup, will be hosted in Saudi Arabia.

Regardless of how Kroos has been handled this week, and will most likely be treated even more harshly in the final on Sunday against FC Barcelona or Osasuna, Madrid right defender Dani Carvajal applauded the audience.

“The truth is that the fans have been excellent,” added the Spaniard.

“It’s been an incredible atmosphere.” “A more soccer-like atmosphere,” he added.

On this occasion, fans at the KSU Stadium witnessed a derby for the ages: an eight-goal thriller that lasted 120 minutes and was destined to go to penalties until replacements Brahim Diaz and Joselu both scored in extra time.
