Mauricio Pochettino has had a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge and is looking to enhance his team this month.

Despite the fact that the club has spent roughly £1.3 billion in the last four transfer windows.

However, Pochettino was rarely involved in the decisions made during the summer transfer window, and the Argentine wants a much larger role in future recruitment.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager believes the team is lacking in attack and is overly reliant on Nicolas Jackons’ goals in his debut season.

Osimhen, 24, recently signed a new contract with Napoli, although it is reported to feature a £103 million release clause.

The Nigerian is currently competing in the Africa Cup of Nations, making a January switch doubtful.

However, the Daily Mail reports that Boehly has agreed to increase spending and that Osimhen is willing to relocate to west London.

Chelsea are unlikely to be the only club interested in Osimhen, although the Nigerian is claimed to be in regular touch with club veteran Didier Drogba about relocating to London.

Pochettino is also interested in bringing in a new left-back.

Levi Colwill has been deputising in Ben Chilwell’s absence, although he was heavily chastised following the club’s EFL semi-final first leg defeat to Middlesbrough earlier this week.
