Carlton Morris scored a controversial equaliser in added time, securing a 1-1 draw for Luton against Burnley.

Burnley goalie James Trafford was stopped from coming to capture Alfie Doughty’s cross by Luton striker Elijah Adebayo, allowing Morris to score in the 92nd minute, with VAR affirming the goal.

The hosts were on course for an important win after Zeki Amdouni’s close-range shot put them ahead in the first half.

However, Luton Town, who dominated much of the game, denied them the opportunity to draw level on points with 17th-placed Everton, while Burnley remain four points away of safety.

What’s next?

Burnley’s next Premier League match is a fortnight away against Manchester City, where manager Vincent Kompany will square off against former manager Pep Guardiola on January 31; kick-off 7.30pm.
