Roma players were apparently set to practice with Mourinho this morning, but Giallorossi owner Dan Friedkin arrived at Trigoria to announce the Special One’s dismissal.

It is no secret that Roma fans had a strong bond with Mou, and many applauded the Special One when he left Trigoria late on Tuesday morning.

The players returned to the training site in the afternoon for De Rossi’s first practice in charge of the Giallorossi. Argentina’s Dybala and Paredes were in the same car when they were stopped by a group of fans.

One admirer remarked, “It’s time to show some balls, Leo,” and another added, “Now that Mourinho is gone, you have no more excuses.”

“We know, we know,” said Paredes.

Following a 1-0 Coppa Italia loss to Lazio on Sunday, Roma fans chastised players, labelling them ‘Mercenaries.’
