Netherlands and Poland denied training

Prior to the UEFA Euro 2024 match, Poland and the Netherlands were not permitted to practise on the newly constructed Hamburg stadium pitch. On May 19, the home team Hamburger finished their schedule, and in preparation for the UEFA Euro match, a new grass surface was ordered for Volksparkstadion. Ronald Koeman, the Netherlands’ coach, stated at the location, “We are not allowed to train here either, because of the bad quality of the pitch.” The UEFA said in a statement that the pitch is in good shape and that official training took place in the base camp of the relevant team to maintain the surface’s quality.
